Hello, Potterheads! You must all be wondering what it would be to wait as Miss McGonagall calls your name patiently. You walk up to the stool placed there and see the dusty old hat that has a strange face engraved on it. You are told to sit down and keep your mind calm. As soon as you sit down, she places the hat on your head, and it starts speaking.
When the first book and the movie were released, and we witnessed that, we all felt a longing inside our hearts. A longing that maybe could also sit on that stool, and maybe we could also experience that. The thrill of being sorted into a house and the 7-year-long journey would come with the house in the future. The smell of dusty old dorm rooms, the ladders whose destinations changed accordingly, and the paintings that could move. Cause we know that Hogwarts is not a school. It’s where we live. It’s our home.
Houses at Hogwarts:-
You do need to freshen up your memories of the houses that were present at Hogwarts. Fortunately, in this article, you would find the basic details about the house and the answer to the question as to which hogwarts house am I in? The houses are mentioned in the points below. These points are as follows:-
- Gryffindor:-
Gryffindor is where all the buzz is. It’s where the trio became as to what they are today. Gryffindor was founded by Godric Gryffindor, an English Wizard who was one of the most powerful. The house has a lion as its sigil, and the colours are scarlet and gold. Miss Minerva McGonagall currently sits at the top of the house and is the house head. Dumbledore belonged to this house too. Gryffindor Tower is where the common room of all Gryffindors is. The nearly headless Nick that roams around is also a Gryffindor. - Hufflepuff:-
Cedric Diggory would be remembered as long as Hogwarts exists. He proved what it is to be a true Hufflepuff. Helga Hufflepuff was the founder of this house. A badger is the sigil of Hufflepuff, and it has yellow and black colours on its flag. Miss Pomona sprout, who we say with those screaming shrubs, sits at the top of this house and is the headteacher of Hufflepuff. The Hufflepuff basement is where the common room of this house is. Fat friar is the only ghost seen roaming around the common hall, which is a Hufflepuff. - Ravenclaw:-
Can you see those spirits? Have you tried tinkling with stars? I wonder who stole my boots… If you remember these lines well, you might know that it’s Luna Lovegood. We are still wondering as to whether she accepted Neville or not. Anyways, Rowena Ravenclaw was the one who founded this house. Although the name of the house is raven, the sigil is an eagle. The house is decorated with royal colours like blue and bronze. Our grey lady is one of the ghosts that are from Ravenclaw. Like Gryffindor, Ravenclaw tower is the common room for Ravenclaws. Master Filius Flitwick, who directed the trouble choir, sits at the top of this house and is currently the headteacher of Ravenclaw. - Slytherin:-
Voldemort has entered the chat. Although it might sound very weird, Slytherins are very intelligent, and some of the most powerful wizards arise from this house. Salazar Slytherin, the man who founded the house, was one the strongest wizards of all time. A snake is the sigil of this house, and Slytherins are always adorned in green and silver. Bloody baron was the ghost from the Slytherin house. The Slytherin common rooms are present in the Slytherin dungeons. Professor Slughorn was the head of Slytherin until Professor Snape took over. And there needs to be no explanation needed on Professor Snape.
The bottom line
